Project Work/Portfolio (80%): You will be responsible for all the stages of your projects. Missing a part of a project will impact your grade. Project work will be both on and off the computer. Technical skills you will learn include use of software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Flash and Dreamweaver. You will learn to optimize, edit and enhance computer imagery. Through a creative process you will plan, design and execute functional and interactive websites and animations. Industry standards and ethics will be considered; copyright laws adhered too.
Classroom Management (20%): Listening and contributing to the class - vital to the creative process. Maintaining a clean, safe classroom.
- All students are expected to follow BHS attendance and behavioral policies. 2 Cuts = Withheld Credit, 13 Absences = Withheld Credit, 6 Tardies = Withheld Credit.
- RESPECT! You are expected to respect your teacher, each other and each others artwork. Also, you will be responsible for any equipment you use in or out of class. Please respect the equipment so all students can benefit. Please notify me immediately if equipment fails to work properly.
- Cell phones: Keep them on silent – If I see or hear them they will be taken and held until the end of class.
- Food/Drinks: Food is NOT allowed near the computers. Drinks are allowed ONLY if they are capped and will not spill or leak if they are knocked over.
- Bottom Line: You are in my class to use your imagination to create high quality, interactive electronic art by employing your ideas, thoughts, feelings, creations, personal taste and style.
IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU OBTAIN SOME KIND OF COMPUTER BACK UP DEVICE. It can be a Flash Drive or CD-RW's
