The purpose of this lesson is to experiment with a variety of different style lines to make a design.
- On a 8.5" x 11" paper, using a pencil and ruler, create a 1/4" boarder around the entire page.
- Divide the space on the page into a MINIMUM of 10 section. This is where you have an opportunity to be creative (The more creativity you use, the better the results).
- Fill each of the 10 sections with line designs.
- After you have filled up all the space with lines, go over all the lines with a thin black sharpie marker. This will give you an opportunity to adjust any areas of the design you may not be happy with.
NOTE: DO NOT TRACE OVER YOUR ORIGINAL 10 SECTION LINES WITH THE BLACK SHARPIE MARKER!! ONLY TRACE THE LINES INSIDE EACH SECTION. - Once you have everything outlined, erase all visible pencil lines.
Requirements:
- The lines in the sections that are next to each other must be going in a different direction.
- Vary the lines that you use.
- All lines should stay parallel.
- Retrace pencil lines with black sharpie and erase any visible pencil marks.
