Using Adobe Photoshop, you will create an Andy Warhol style poster using ONE image of your choice:
1. Find an image you would like to use and open it into Photoshop. Go to File-> Open and then select your image.
2. Using several different photo-manipulation options, create a MINIMUM of 15 altered versions of the same image. You have several options you can explore to manipulate the photographs.
Go to Filter at the top of the screen and select Artistic Filters or any of the other choices there to manipulate your photograph.
Go to Image-> Adjustments and select any option under there to manipuulate your image.
The idea is to explore all the basic ways you can change the look of the image you chose.
3. VERY IMPORTANT!! As you alter your image, make sure you save each one and you always start you manipulation from the original picture. To do this, Go to File-> Save As and make sure you save each image under its own name (ex. Picture 1, Picture 2, Picture 3 etc.) Next, go to Edit -> Step Backwards you are so you can start off from the original image.
4. Once you have all 15 different altered images, open them all up into photoshop.
5. Go to File-> New and open up a new document that is 20" x 20"
6. Select the black arrow in the tool bar and, one by one, click and drag each image onto your 20" x 20" document.
7. You can add or subtract space from your document as you are working by going to Image-> Canvas Size and adjusting the size of your document to make it larger or smaller.
8. When you have all your images dragged over, line them up neatly one by one so they form a rectangle. Each image will be on its own layer so in order to move it, you must select the layer that the image is on.
9. Once you are finished, save your work and print out a copy of your image on the poster printer.
